My company provides a variety of careers and leadership workshops.

I currently run workshops for the NHS in career planning and in interview practice. My company has been employed on a freelance basis to run approximately 50 of these workshops per year since 2018.

These workshops can be adapted to the needs of your organisation.

I also run ‘Train the trainer’ type workshops to teach senior managers to give careers guidance/coaching to their junior colleagues.

Examples of workshops

  • planning your career
  • CV/Cover letters
  • being successful at interview
  • career resilience
  • how to manage stress and cope with adversity
  • building confidence
  • leadership skills
  • train the trainer – careers workshop

Testimonials from workshops:

“Useful session. Thank you, useful tips for application/interview. Highlights need to practice.”  F2 doctor, Kent (being successful at interview workshop)

“I really enjoyed the workshop and found it extremely useful. My trainees will now hopefully reap the benefit.” NHS Consultant West Sussex (train the trainer workshop)

  • leadership coaching.

Website content writing and editing

I have years of experience on working on websites. This was due to the fact I managed the doctors’ sections of a national careers website –

I also designed and built the website for my own company by myself.

I have completed a ‘design for the web’ module at the Open University.

Writing/proof-reading and editing

I can help to make your documents readable and in plain English, so that they are to a professional standard.

For example:

  • national frameworks
  • policies and guidelines
  • career profiles

Some examples of my work can be found below:

I authored this report on the Advanced Clinical Practice framework:

I proof-read these job descriptions and put together these reports:

I can write blogs for your website on the subject of careers, leadership, wellbeing, employability and coaching.

E-learning modules

My experience in this area is in creating content for a career-planning e-module that Health Education England created for foundation doctors.

CVs and Cover Letters

I can make suggestions for improvements to your CV and/or cover letter. It is helpful for someone to have a fresh eye, to spot any grammar/formatting issues. My background of academic studies and my editing/copywriting experience mean that I have excellent grammar and writing skills. Therefore, I can evaluate the quality of your work.

I also have expertise with CVs. Having worked as a freelance Careers Consultant at Imperial College London, as well as at Coventry University London, I’ve helped with a huge number of CVs.

In addition, having worked extensively with trainee doctors, I know what it takes to make a good strong CV for your selection centre evidence folder.

£50 – £85 per CV or cover letter (depending on how much work is needed).

Send your CV/cover letter to and I will let you know the price.

Please note, I will not write your CV/cover letter for you.
